Senior Enforcement Service Representative

Under the direction of AEU’s Supervisor of Administration, the candidate will be responsible for leading groups performing clerical work of moderate difficulty. Along with other tasks assigned, the selected candidate will be required to provide support to the supervisor and the specified members of the assigned team.

Specific Tasks include:
• Reviewing certificate of corrections to determine if the proper documentation is included and that submissions meet minimum agency requirements.
• Providing clear, concise, complete and correct results of a certificate of correction review to customers.
• Making appropriate recommendations and/or referrals when dealing with difficult or special cases.
• Providing adequate customer service to customers who appear in person for assistance.
• Conducting research in various Department and NYC systems to verify all information and documents submitted with a certificate of correction request.
• Accurately updating relevant systems to reflect certificate of correction review results. Reviewing Department of Finance ownership records (ACRIS) or HPD records to determine and verify the ownership of a property and/or the authorized managing agents.
• Maintaining general files for the unit.
• Assisting with public outreach regarding resolution of OATH Summonses.
• Researching and responding to Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) and subpoena requests, as necessary.
• Providing telephone and online help form coverage, responding to telephone inquiries from the public and other department personnel.
• Providing peer-to-peer guidance to members of the assigned team.
• Providing support to members AEU Supervisors and other members of DOBs leadership teams
• Other administrative tasks, including special projects, as assigned.

Minimum Qual Requirements

Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
