North America Insurance is Chubb’s largest division comprising commercial and consumer P&C insurance businesses in the United States, Canada and Bermuda. The successful candidate is an insurance product and technical specialist with competency is helping to envision, shape, and direct the development of business-specific analytics and technical products. Your key competencies will include strategic project program management experience with the proven ability to envision new use cases and applications in collaboration with business stakeholders to vet potential use cases, capture business requirements and work across NA and Global Analytics and other teams to enable effective pull-through. Additionally, the idea candidate will manage a portfolio as the product owner for various in-flight assets in effectively being a key spokesperson, champion, and central point of delivery success for new and in-flight initiatives and products. This will involve being a key stakeholder and facilitator in moving ideas from concept to build and documenting, tracking, and socialize these items to success. As assigned, this lead will own a portfolio of products related to a single or several related business areas or business-facing products.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of analytics applications and processes, work across analytics and technical teams to advise on solution development based on business requirements, have facilitate the delivery of developed assets into our business ecosystem. You will work as a key business partner, working collaboratively with business unit leaders to achieve ambitious business plans. This role will be key to supporting analytics asset development as well as the shepherding of business requirements and oversight for the execution on plans. This role will require exceptional collaboration and influencing skills as well as a background in in insurance product management, product development, and portfolio management. Key to the success of this role will also be the ability to communicate effectively about the value to be delivered in specific terms around assets in development in response to business requests. Responsibilities:
- Champion the development and delivery of segment-specific products into the NA landscape working closely with business stakeholders
- Serve as advisor on the process of determine the relevant success metrics and KPIs that will serve to measure outcomes once assets are productionized
- Serve as a key advisor on the design of analytics applications (including models and APIs) and the inputs required and suitable work plans for building business-facing assets
- Responsible for transitioning requirements to global analytics team
- Serve as advisor providing oversight of POCs and MVPs intended to prove long-term value to the business
- Advise NA Data and Analytics Leadership, as well as other leadership teams, and recommended strategies and priorities around in-flight initiatives and assets to be developed relative to Chubb’s strategy and intended business outcomes
- Work directly with the Data Science teams to review the work and ensure it meets the needs and requirements of the business units
- Experience working with leadership to formulate and execute strategic agenda – including process management, executive presentations
- The ideal candidate will have experience working in teams, including work across analytics and technical teams to that produce an array of data and analytics products, including dashboards, models and digital front ends
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience data and analytics as a leader
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience
- Experience in insurance or similar industry in utilizing a consultative approach to understanding business needs and supporting framing of options for delivery of value through analytics applications
- Experience in working through structured frameworks, with business stakeholders, for assessing and selecting key priorities for investment and development.
- Experience in providing data driven consultation (either internally or as an external consultant) to business unit leaders
- Experience in business communications and executive leadership reporting
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Must be able to present complex issues in a manner that is easily understood by a non-technical audience
- Creative problem solver with the ability to quickly identify and resolve errors through collaborative solutions
- Data-driven decision maker; able to complete thorough research and investigation, yet quickly make decisions and present findings
- Capable of working collaboratively with leaders and business partners
- Understanding of analytics applications and processes
- Experience working across business, technical, IT, Digital and Operations teams to influence decisions and drive outcomes

In Jersey City, NJ the pay range for the role is $128,500 to $215,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
