The Amazon Studios marketing team is looking for a talented and passionate Art Director to create world-class campaigns for our growing slate of original programming.
Working in close collaboration with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Campaign Managers, and Producers, you will help us ideate 360 creative advertising campaigns and establish the unique look and feel of some of our biggest properties, from key art to OOH, digital, social, partnerships and more.
Art Directors at Amazon Studios are makers who excel at visual communication; they are masters at all practical aspects of messaging an idea using images. A successful Art Director will be able to participate in brainstorms with Creative Directors, Show Leads and other critical stakeholders and translate feedback into visuals to drive campaign ideation. In this role you will be responsible for guiding agency partners in addition to being a hands on artist creating comps, concept pitch decks and breakouts with Adobe creative suite applications as your main tool.
Key job responsibilities
• Establish concept art (AKA: Key Art) with the oversight and vision of a Creative Director to be adapted and thoughtfully carried across OOH, Social & Digital in a 360 campaign approach.
• Participate in briefing and ideation phase, create phenomenal key art and/or motion concepts, knowledge of both worlds a plus.
• Lead visual design in the creative process from brainstorms through design phase to delivery.
• Design world-class visual creative concepts for high profile titles across TV, Film and Brand for Prime Video.
• Follow guidance from Creative Directors and receives input from internal stakeholders.
• Translate internal guidance and feedback into clear visual directions for internal creative teams, agencies and vendor partners.
• Leverage data-driven customer insights and deep knowledge of formats and placements to make creative decisions.
• Be on the pulse of current and emerging trends in interactive technology and design.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of design experience
– Have an available online portfolio
– Experience in Adobe Creative Suit applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS
– Strong creative skills and design fundamentals; typography, color theory, composition
– Excellent oral and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of design experience
– Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
– Franchise IP marketing campaign experience
– Ability to think strategically, but can also execute tactically
– Demonstrated understanding of workflow within a marketing creative department
– Experience collaborating across multiple stakeholders
– Experience leading process improvements and/or operations tool implementations (e.g. digital asset management tool)
– Experience working with digital asset management tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
