Senior Product Marketing Manager, AWS for Data

To help our customers seize this opportunity, we are looking for an experienced product marketing leader to join the AWS for Data product marketing team.

Product Marketing is responsible for developing crisp, highly differentiated, and compelling positioning and messaging for AWS and its services. We tell AWS’s most important and interesting stories to educate customers about what is possible when you build on AWS.

The AWS for Data product marketing team is tasked with helping customers understand the value of building a data strategy on AWS spanning databases, analytics, machine learning, and AI. In this role, you will work cross-functionality to create and activate compelling and differentiated messaging to help business and technology decision makers understand the use cases and value propositions of modernizing their data strategy on AWS.

The ideal candidate for this position has:
• Demonstrated track record in crafting positioning and marketing content

• Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership to drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs

• Demonstrated track record in crafting compelling marketing content

This position will sit in Seattle, WA only. Relocation to this location offered from within the US only.

Key job responsibilities
• Identify and execute on breakthrough product marketing activities that reach target audiences effectively
• Craft and develop compelling audience and initiative specific messages and tools (product videos, collateral specific to different audiences or campaigns, demos, presentations, how to guides, etc.)
• Develop market and competitive intelligence expertise that can inform messaging
• Build and maintain strong relationships with product management, GTM, partner, and program teams to drive co-marketing and distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages
• Develop and be accountable for account, industry, and partner marketing campaigns, working with the appropriate teams
• Elevate internal thought leaders through perception-driving tactics

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

– Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

– Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
