Position Summary:
Coordinates loan closings in compliance with TCU and investor standards, rules and regulations. Works with Loan Closer 2’s to ensure files are reviewed prior to funding to ensure accurate disbursements on First and Second Mortgage Loans. Assists with stacking and submitting all files for insuring. Delivers quality member service at all times.
Supervisory Relationship:
- Reports directly to the Loan Closing Supervisor
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Tasks:
- Reviews all loan documents prior to funding to ensure documentation is complete, accurate and in compliance with TCU policies, procedures, product guidelines, and government and investor requirements. Ensures proper documents are enclosed.
- Accurately draws and funds loan documents. Meets established goal of drawing and funding an average minimum of 6 loans per day.
- Funds all types of real estate loans. Acquires appropriate signatures on disbursements. Balances funding worksheet prior to release of funds.
- Coordinates loan closings for Conventional First and Second loans with appropriate parties to confirm all conditions on the loan have or will be met prior to funding. Ensures proper method of delivery of disbursements to members, title companies and wire transfers.
- Reviews all loan documents prior to funding to ensure proper approvals are obtained and proper documentation is enclosed.
- Actively cross-sells TCU products and services and refers members to other departments as needed.
- Ensures file is in correct stacking order and all documentation is scanned and uploaded to the file cabinet post funding. Follows-up on all trailing documents within 48 hours. Processes and delivers to appropriate parties, within 48 hours of receipt of documents.
- Assists in submitting Insuring Package within 10 days of closing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience – Minimum 1 year experience in a lending environment. Loan closing, processing and/or FNMA, FHLMC and investor documentation/packaging experience preferred.
- Other Skills or Abilities – PC skills to include word-processing, spreadsheets and Outlook. Strong math, analytical and time management skills. Accurate typing and 10-key calculator. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Ability to accurately complete assigned tasks within strict timeframes. Ability to self-direct, use independent judgment, and multi-task with proficiency. Working knowledge of TCU products/services and the ability to cross-sell them to members. Understands the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and ensures compliance through monitoring and reporting of member activity as appropriate.
Compensation: Base salary starting range: $21.50/hour – $26.55/hour is commensurate with experience.
