Job duties:
- The Adult Protective Services (APS) Program Coordinator II will serve as a Senior Consultant and will liaise and coordinate with medicaid and other community partners. Serves as a senior level resource to Adult Advocacy staff to address medicaid, placement, and emergency funding needs.
- Liaises and coordinate with medicaid and APS staff to expedite the eligibility process. Research medicaid numbers and work with APS staff to document and maintain a current list of adults in need of medicaid and where they are in the process.
- Assists staff with difficult to place adults and maintain and update to date list of possible placement options.
- Performs research, analyzes, and summarizes data and trends to make specific recommendations.
- Asses the vulnerable adult’s ability to secure long-term services to include but not limited to: redirecting funds, securing a guardian or conservator, filling out appropriate documents for emergency services and connecting to probate or family court.
- Perform Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Agency Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
A Master’s Degree and two (2) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
