Project Manager (Enterprise Support Services)

Working within our Enterprise Support Services organization, the Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of all aspects of assigned projects and will be responsible for providing operational support to the internal clients within the span of the project delivery life cycle, utilizing established PMI and RSM project management best practices and standards. The PM is responsible for assembling project teams, coordinating assignment of individual responsibilities, and developing the project plan, schedule, budget, tasks, and deliverables to ensure timely and results focused project completion. During project execution, the PM will be an active participant in all aspects of the project and is also accountable for managing issues and risks, facilitating change requests, maintaining project financials, and providing status reports. The PM will apply broad, advanced project management principles and concepts to large projects, and contribute to innovation of new concepts and ideas, and continuous process improvement. • Partner with the ESS PMO and internal departments (HR, IT, Real Estate, Marketing, Finance, Leadership/CLT) to develop, implement and maintain efficient and effective support processes.

This role is open to locations in close proximity to one of our many offices in the United States and will have in-office requirements two to three days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner strategically with assigned internal clients ( i.e. stakeholder, sponsor) to support medium to complex short- and long-term projects, simultaneously .

  • Identify and execute appropriate communication methods to provide the appropriate stakeholders with the status of projects. Consistently and accurately review and maintain documentation to identify , evaluate, scope, plan, monitor, and follow up on active projects .
  • Continually identify , assess, monitor , and communicate the issues and risks of a project/activity to the appropriate stakeholder .
  • Operate in a self-directed manner, identifying and addressing risk mitigation, process improvement, and support needs affecting the successful delivery of project.

  • Generate and execute project plans. Revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Recognize the risk and determine the appropriate corrective action to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and scope. Monitor issues and risk response plan .

  • Create and maintain project documentation. Working with leadership and other team members, develop best practices and tools for project execution and management . o Identify and track project issues, providing regular status updates within the project team until resolved .
  • Complete assigned projects effectively and efficiently; and maintain a high level of proficiency by delivering high quality work on time; review own work and the work of others prior to completion.
  • Provide ongoing project support, oversight, and process adherence for assigned projects .

  • Provide effective guidance to employees and/or team members through planning appropriate resources , communicating performance expectations. Effectively delegate to and leverage project team members to help meet business objectives . Communicate performance expectations, provide real-time project feedback, coaching, training, developing, and providing career growth activities
  • Serve as a Career Advisor to Senior Associate & Coordinator levels o Prepare and present team and individual performance analysis and feedback
  • Facilitate change management planning and support the rollout of new projects and programs o Work to provide analysis, development and documentation of improvement opportunities; this may include implementation and training components

  • Provide oversight and advocacy for the effective efficient use of internal systems .

Required Qualifications:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related area or equivalent experience

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Demonstrated experience with project management software, specifically those applications supported by the firm
  • Ability to adapt to technology changes
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple project priorities
  • Strong organization, prioritization, time management skills, and attention to detail

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years working in project/operations area with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects with moderate to high risk
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with management level individuals, preferably within a mid to large size firm(s) or other professional services experience.
  • Previous experience in managing others in a team environment
  • Experience in navigating in a matrix reporting environment solving/resolving complex issues

  • Continually enhances and builds upon knowledge base of the project in order to update and inform leadership as necessary

  • Ability to train, mentor and provide guidance and feedback to other team members
