Description
Responsible for maintaining confidentiality in the review, extraction, analysis and compilation of analytical data. Responsible for researching, assembling, and presenting information in order to provide investigative leads and determining functional patterns as situational awareness in real time. Incumbent is required to perform various analytical methods including investigative report analysis, social media platform analysis, graphic presentation of data, charting of events in chronological sequence or collection and consolidation of intelligence data from other agencies. Incumbent may be required to provide field support for RTCC equipment throughout the community.
Duties

  • Reviews and interprets coded information via a computer aided dispatch (CAD) system, telephone, multi-channel radio.
  • Reads and interprets maps in order to assist in locating certain geographical areas to provide timely assistance.
  • Accurately inputs, updates and requests data from a variety of sources to maintain current and accurate records.
  • Reviews daily bulletins (BOLO’s, teletypes, etc.) and shift reports.
  • Reviews, extracts and analyzes reports and information, then compiles data into local format to provide general or specific intelligence for use in operational planning decisions.
  • Works with a variety of sources and transfers the information into a computerized form, manipulates and analyzes the data, and reports on the analysis to identify trends, patterns and prevent criminal activity.
  • Collects and coordinates information and intelligence; organizes, analyzes and prioritizes intelligence; determines reliability and validity.
  • Requests and receives information of a confidential nature.
  • Works closely with others as a team.
  • Effectively communicates both orally and in writing.
  • Provides professional customer service skills to both the public and agency members.
  • Prepares and presents clear, accurate, concise and objective written and oral reports.
  • Meets requirements and maintains required licensures and certifications as well as agency required in-service training.
  • Adheres to the standards and principles of the agency’s core values and professionally represents the agency.
  • Reports to work timely, consistently and as scheduled.
  • Performs all functions of the job classification without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the work place.
  • Works various hours to include days and evening shifts.
  • Deploys mobile LPR field assets if assigned.
  • Conducts diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of CCSO owned cameras and LPR cameras in the field if assigned.
  • Maintains equipment and assets assigned to the RTCC section.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Education, Experience and Requirements:

  • 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Typing of 25 to 30 WPM
  • Speak and understand the English language
  • Internal candidates must have successfully completed their probationary period
  • Internal candidates with punitive disciplinary action within 365 days are ineligible
  • The following items may be required at various steps in the application process:

    4. Form DD214 for all periods served in the military
    5. GED or High School Diploma and Sealed Transcripts from the highest level of education

Salary is negotiable for full-time positions upon initial hire, if requested, based on verified experience up to step three (3) of the assigned pay grade. Current employee salary changes are determined based on internal methodology. Please contact Human Resources with any questions.
