H&B Consultant VP – Mid Market

Aon is seeking a Health & Benefits Vice President

As part of our industry-leading team, the Health Solutions Vice President (Consultant IV) will be a key contributor and leader responsible for building, leading and managing a portfolio of middle market clients. The role will be supporting clients that span both our Mid Market and Aon Local Advantage (ALA) small market.

Your Impact as a Health Solutions VP

  • Management of the Health Solutions relationship with Aon.
  • Management and expansion of overall client relationship Growth of the Aon/Client relationship.
  • Development of scope of services and ensure client team is aware of the level of support provided to the client.
  • Bring innovative ideas and recommend strategic direction for Client’s programs, partnering with aligned
  • Proactively vet potential solutions for clients given their strategic priorities. Including understanding new local innovative solutions with traction in the marketplace.
  • Include and partner with the financial lead on the Analytics & Actuarial team to develop strategies for the client.
  • Stay educated on all local, regional, and national healthcare market trends for discussion with clients.
  • Team Consultants who lead day-to-day vendor management, as needed.
  • Overall accountability for execution of all deliverables, leveraging the client delivery team.
  • Maintain direct line of communication with senior decision maker at client’s organization to address any service issues and communicate potential delays in deliverables.
  • Present innovative solutions and services developed by Aon to clients as they are rolled out.
  • Understand local market trends, which includes pulse on carrier solutions that may be presented to clients
  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to develop and maintain carrier relationships
  • Knowledge of market trends
  • Ability to articulate recommendations to clients, and work with them in a consultative manner

  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

  • Fifeteen plus years of experience in the group health and benefits industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong working knowledge of benefits and services offered and value to clients
  • Financial acumen
  • Strong presentation skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • License or Certificate Requirement: Appropriate Insurance License/Life & Health

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $145,000 to $225,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
