Azure Cloud Network Engineer
Location: Remote with travel. Prefer someone in the Central or Eastern timezone.
Must be authorized to work in the US without Visa sponsorship or transfer.
Please note: This is NOT a network or system Administrator role. You MUST have experience in Azure network Planning,Design, Implementation, Integtration and Operation.
- Planning, designing, implemeting and support of Azure-based network solutions for integration with customer environments.
- You will need the ability to work utilizing existing system design to rapidly implement customer environments in Azure. In addition, work with customers to complete simple to complex integrations with customer networks.
- You must also be able to work within an on-call structure.
This position will act as a primary technical contact and is responsible for delivery of Azure and on-premise network solutions to enterprise accounts within assigned network infrastructure technologies such as LAN, WAN, UC/Collaboration, Wireless, Security, and Data Center. Depending on the Service Contract or Statement of Work the individual may be responsible for network planning, design, implementation, and operation (PDIO). The delivery method may be on-site or remotely delivered through NEC’s Network Operating Center. Tasks include infrastructure design, implementation planning, deployment support, software strategy, system troubleshooting, performance engineering and optimization, maintenance strategy, knowledge transfer and mentoring. Also provides technical guidance to customers and internal engineering peers as required and has lead technical staff responsibilities.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000; depending upon the selected candidate’s relevant experience, the exact salary for the role may fall outside of this range. This role will also be eligible to participate in the Company’s bonus/incentive program(s). Specialization Description
Responsible for the strategic planning and design of telecom infrastructure and/or network components. Analyses the short-term and/or long-term network capacity needs for current and future network requirements. Designs the network architecture and performs technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, systems engineering for front-end processors, multiplexes, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems. Ensures compliance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards and protocols. Has knowledge on IP routers, switches, fiber optic connections, microwave wireless transmission, 2G/3G/4G, DSL, radio frequency systems, etc.
