Pay range is: $26-$30/hr, DOE
The Hot Tap Assistant performs hot tapping services in a variety of client industrial work sites with minimal shutdowns or service interruptions.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns
- Provides on-site Hot Tapping and Line Stop services on client work sites
- Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards and communicates abnormal working conditions to appropriate parties
- Conducts post-job quality checks
- Cleans and conducts a visual inspection of equipment to assure your equipment is performing at optimum safety
- Creates a safe entry into a pipe or vessel; operating at a pressure
- Performs Hot Taps, Conventional Line stops, Hot stops, Double Line stops, and Tee stops
- Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment
- Documents all hot tapping services activity as required
Other Duties/Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Experience:
- One (1+) plus years of experience working around underground utilities is required
- Experience reading basic prints and Underground Facility Location Sketch is preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of a valid State Driver’s License is required
- Candidates must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and pass a pre-employment drug screen
