JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sports Facility & Operations Coordinator will be primarily focused on ensuring all leagues are seamlessly executed each evening and will be focused on positively expanding the JAM brand across Michigan. We are currently looking for responsible, reliable, and detail oriented individuals for JAM!
You will act as the face of JAM and be a key ‘on the ground’ resource for leagues and programs. Overall, your goals will be to:
- Ensure that existing members receive an exceptional experience
- Ensure that leagues run smoothly
- Facilitate operational tasks assigned by our head office team
- Find new venues/facilities and members for JAM
Specifically, areas that you will be responsible for include:
- Managing and executing of leagues/events, ensuring all games run smoothly and efficiently.
- Retention of current members with exceptional customer service.
- Sales of leagues/programs to individuals and captains, finding ways to fill empty space.
- Developing improvements for current league play.
- Maintaining excellent relationships with current venues, and seeking new venues to enable growth.
- Dealing with league issues and venue cancellations (refunds, rescheduling, communication)
- Ensuring JAM Sportsplex (JAM’s own facility) is ready for members and is in good condition
- Assisting with pooling, scheduling and posting of schedules for all programs
- Assisting with management of rental bookings
- Assisting and training league ambassadors carry out nightly duties.
- Helping with discipline issues that may arise during game play.
- Taking photos or videos of league play for social media promotion.
- Exploring new venues and facilities and collecting details about current venues.
- Assisting with other operational and customer experience tasks as needed.
- Collecting and creating fun content for JAM’s social media platforms (videos, action shots, player interactions etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Outstanding and energetic personality, keen to learn and help JAM grow.
- University or College degree in Business, Sales or Sports Management is an asset.
- 2-3 years experience of sales experience is an asset.
- 2-3 years experience successfully managing a team is an asset.
- Ability to think quickly on your feet and work well with a team.
- Ability to adapt to change and experience working in an entrepreneurial organization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

EXPECTED HOURS & REMOTE WORK
- You will be working 40 hours per week.
- You day to day hours may be 9am to 5pm some days and 1pm to 9pm other days. Schedules can be flexible and will depend on the time of year (I.e. season start up) and the needs of leagues.
- Work hours can be a mix of in-office, remote (at home) and at games.
