This is a mid-level professional position involving facilities maintenance contract administration activities and general procurements at a regional level for the Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction (FMDC). You may write, review, and solicit Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Invitations for Bid (IFB); issue Intents to Award and execute contracts. Will be accountable for; ensuring compliance with statutory and state regulatory requirements, supporting regional and division objectives and strategic plans. The position will require a strong acumen for facilities maintenance service and construction; bidding and contract administration.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in developing regional facilities maintenance service contracts.
- Facilities maintenance and repair project contract administrations. Including bidding phase, bid evaluation, acceptance phase, and contract execution phase.
- Prepare and/or review Scopes of Work, RFP’s and IFB’s.
- Administer agreements related to real estate functions.
- Proactively integrate continuous improvement practices into FMDC contract administration.
All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of procurement process’ as they relate to facilities maintenance services, maintenance and repair of facilities, limited procurement of goods and Missouri statutory requirements relative to RSMo Chapter 8 and RSMo Chapter 34.
- A very good understanding of the legal aspects of procurement for facilities maintenance services, and construction contracting.
- Ability to effectively communicate with contractors for services such as Janitorial, HVAC maintenance, mowing and snow removal, construction contractors, vendors, and public officials.
- Ability to lead and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and operational excellence principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, or related field. Substitutions may be allowed.
- 1-3 years of procurement experience in facilities maintenance services, facilities management, construction contract administration or related fields.
