HDR Engineering is looking for a Transportation Client Development Leader to join our growing Colorado market.

Primary Responsibilities

The Transportation Client Development Leader is responsible for coordination and oversight of HDR’s Colorado Client Development Teams and initiatives. Oversee marketing activities for major planning, design, and construction programs, as well as mega-projects; work with local operations managers in the areas of client development, community and industry participation, project pursuits, staffing and marketing training.

  • Primarily responsible for Sustaining and Expanding Services to Existing Clients
  • Oversee local Client Development Teams (CDTs)
  • Manages overall marketing activities, schedules, and proposal budgets
  • Involved Go/No Gos and Proposal Development
  • Closely coordinate with the Business Development Leader, Operations and Staffing Managers
  • Involved in transportation marketing and proposal efforts and strategies.
  • Works with/directs area office marketing staff on transportation business group proposals and pursuits.
  • Coordinate marketing activities with the Business Client Leader other Business Group leads.
  • Participate in development of strong client development and ability to serve as a key client manager for selected clients.
  • Implement company marketing policies and procedures, standards, quality assurance and risk management within the Area.
  • Facilitate proposal coordination and reviews, peer reviews, problem resolution, recognition activities and client functions within the Area.
  • Encourage and participate in business and community activities as representative of HDR.
  • Ability to manage large projects and pursuits

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning, Environmental, Engineering or closely related field
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in client and partnership development within the Colorado market.
  • Maintains a professional certification or Engineering registration and has related technical experience
  • Proven capabilities in business development in a wide range of service areas and client types
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced in developing and managing diverse teams
  • Work cooperatively with operations managers, technical and marketing directors on client development efforts
  • Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $123,277.00 – $176,110.00 annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
