Summary
The responsibilities of the MX Programs & Compliance Specialist include, but are not limited to, the development and currency of specific fleet type Maintenance Inspection Programs (FAR 121.365). Additionally, the Specialist reviews and coordinates compliance with applicable ADs, FARs, and manufacturers’ service bulletins as applicable.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details: Bachelor’s degree, preferred or equivalent work experience in Aviation Management, Engineering or Analytics.

Certification Details: FAA A&P airman certificate preferred
Years of Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of experience in engineering/maintenance with an air carrier or commercial operator, or equivalent.

• Ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
• Strong analytical skills, communication, ability to work under pressure, high initiative and decision-making skills are key competences to succeed in this position.
• Ability to interacts with all level of employee, management, and FAA representative in a professional manner.
Preferred Requirements
• Background in MSG3 maintenance program analysis.
• Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
• XML authoring experience.
• Advanced knowledge and skills of computer applications such as Microsoft 365 applications software is required.
• TRAX EMRO knowledge.
Job Duties
• Develop aircraft maintenance programs in accordance with FAA approved Maintenance Review Board (MRB) reports, manufacturers’ Maintenance Planning Data (MPD), other manufacturers’ requirements and recommendations, applicable FAA Airworthiness Directives (AD), and Allegiant Air Reliability Control Board (RCB) recommendations and instructions.
• Review all data from maintenance checks and analyze the effectiveness of the maintenance program as a whole and individual task cards in particular.
• Support the potential escalation or de-escalation of a specific task card or check, as well as the adjustment of specific task card instructions to provide clarification as required.
• Audit maintenance programs to ensure they meet all regulatory requirements and that the task cards provide clear and concise instructions.
• Review applicable FAA ADs, FAA Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM), FAA regulation changes, FAA advisory circulars, manufacturers’ service bulletins, and other pertinent data to identify fleet compliance requirements.
• Coordinate all maintenance program revisions, task card revisions, or new regulatory compliance requirements with members of Quality, Engineering, Materials, Maintenance Planning, Aircraft Records, Maintenance Training, and RCB members.
• Review all Manual Change Request (MCR) forms submitted for the support of changes to the maintenance program or individual task cards to ensure the proposed changes adhere to company policies and procedures, are in compliance with regulatory requirements and manufacturer recommendations, and are compatible with industry best practices.
• Authorized to make pen & ink changes to a task card as a result of input from the Allegiant Maintenance, Engineering, Quality Department personnel, or contract maintenance personnel.
• Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Office – While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
