Position Summary
The Office of the Registrar at the Sturm College of Law advances the professional development of students through a comprehensive suite of services, including overseeing registration, administering exams, entering grades, certifying degrees, and interacting with external authorities on matters bearing on student practice eligibility and professional licensure. Reporting to the Director of Registration and Records (“Director”), the Exam Coordinator will have primary responsibility for scheduling midterm and final exams; recruiting and training exam proctors; distributing exam information to faculty and students; coordinating with the Office of Student Affairs with regard to the administration of exams for students with University-approved accommodations; managing out-of-sequence exams for students with extenuating circumstances; collaborating with the Director to address exam-related concerns; managing the retention (and purging) of exam-related materials, consistent with University policies and legal requirements; and providing additional support in the Registrar’s Office, in collaboration with other members of the Office’s team.
This position is a 0.75 FTE position covering nine months.
Essential Functions
- Create schedules for midterm and final exams, in consultation with the Director and with appropriate regard for faculty exam formats and preferences.
- Recruit and train exam proctors.
- Distribute exam information to faculty and students and serve as a primary point of contact for exam-related inquiries.
- Manage the administration of midterm and final exams, including exams for students with University-approved accommodations and exams administered out-of-sequence due to extenuating circumstances.
- Collaborate with the Director to address exam-related concerns.
- Manage the retention and purging of exam-related materials, consistent with University policies and legal requirements.
- Provide additional support in the Registrar’s Office, in collaboration with other members of the Office’s team.

Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Experience in a management or coordination role, in an office setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education
- Experience in a Registrar’s Office
Working Environment
- Standard office environment.
- Unexpected interruptions often occur, and stress level is moderate to high.
- Noise level is quiet to moderate.
Physical Activities
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period.
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Some evening/weekend hours are required during busy exam periods.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 8.
Salary Range:
The hourly range for this position is $25.50 – $28.00.
