What You’ll Do

The Project Management Office (PMO) at Munchkin owns the entire New Product Development (NPD) process from concept to launch. The Program Manager will oversee and manage the execution of all projects across Global Markets (e.g. EMEA and Asia) and is key to the successful development and launch of products. This individual will not only lead and oversee complex programs but will also be responsible for managing a team of Project Managers within our organization.

  • Manage an expansive project portfolio and prioritization process for cross-functional programs.
  • Manage commercialization of major projects (i.e. new product development, product and/or packaging changes) in collaboration with Brand, Digital, Marketing, Product Designer, Engineering, Compliance, Costing & Other Dept
  • Conduct high-level requirements sessions with cross functional team to capture specific project objectives and stakeholders alignment.
  • Scope each project, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria with measurable business value
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, processes and workflows for efficiency and flawless execution, establishing appropriate ownership for all deliverables; contributes to thoughtful and creative discussions with departments and management on resource and scheduling, team prioritization, plans and challenges.
  • Leading root cause/mitigation analyses, negotiating and resolving team & project conflicts.
  • Analyze data on assigned program/projects for efficiency gains and make recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Proactively identity upcoming risks, inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks
  • Lead project meetings and monthly meetings (developing agenda, ensuring documents/pre-reads are prepared and issued, running/moderating the meeting)
  • Provides overall leadership, guidance, and management of all phases of the assigned programs and projects.
  • Oversees Project Manager(s) adherence to and compliance with all relevant program standards/requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Bring It!

  • 7+ years of demonstrated Project/ Program Management experience in consumer-oriented company (e.g. Branded consumer goods, Automotive, Consumer Electronics etc.)
  • 7+ years of Hands-on experience in developing product, processes and working in manufacturing environments.
  • 7+years of experience effectively managing multiple programs or projects involving cross-functional and international teams (Asia/ EMEA)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of product development, consumer insights, processes, packaging, test methods and technologies
  • Able to think strategically and tactically and to build consensus and collaborative teamwork to make programs successful.
  • Proven cross-functional team leadership and ability to work across the breadth of an organization.
  • Innovation and New Product Development (NPD) experience preferred.
  • Able to drive high-quality output at high pace and deal with a high level of ambiguity
  • Thrive in a dynamic, changing and fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Project Management Tools. Experience with Workfront is a bonus
  • Have used Lean/ Six- Sigma methodologies
  • Have worked on both OEM and ODM Process

Salary range: $130,000 -160,000 annually
