Here’s your chance to join the AWS Training & Certification team working in the visible role of Resource Manager to support the AMER region. Our Resource Manager works closely with a team of Business Development Managers, Training Operations Specialists and is an integral partner with the Training Delivery Managers in managing all training activities (public, private and virtual instructor led) across countries within EMEA. This candidate will single-handedly review incoming customer requests, identify required skill sets, assign trainers and then hand off resourced requests for event specific coordination.
Key job responsibilities
Operational Rigor & Productivity
• Identify, design, and implement programs and/or initiatives to improve the trainer scheduling process and optimize instructor utilization.
• Evaluate all incoming training requests and assign trainers to match customer need.
• Quickly assess available training options and provide recommendations to Training Delivery Managers when last minute changes occur (ex. travel delays, trainers are sick/unable to train, etc.)
• Lead the review of upcoming training calls to inform Training Delivery Managers on future training events.
• Provide support for vILT training courses.
• Provide a weekly audit of upcoming classes to ensure all training details are correct.
• Monitor locations and courses with low attendance for public training and make recommendations to leadership on how to maximize course enrollment and revenue.
• Create and report accurate metrics to highlight the trainer utilization and course enrollment.
• Provide back-up support to training operations specialists as needed.
• Review customer feedback regarding training events specific to catering, location and course communication. Track feedback and make recommendations on how to improve future events.
Stakeholder Management
• Liaise with cross-functional business teams to support onsite training engagements: including legal, finance, accounting, tax, compliance, pricing, business operations etc.
• Liaise with Regional Marketing, Training Manager and Sales team to support the training delivery business for Region.
• Collaborate with the Training Delivery Team to manage the trainers’ schedules, by confirming, cancelling, rescheduling training

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of event coordination, executive administration or resource management
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Learning Management Systems (KNET, Kiku)
• Fluent written and spoken English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Makes the right tradeoffs in order to deliver for customers; compiles training schedule and recommends optimal resource usage.
• Identifies and evaluates potential obstacles with minimal direction from Training Delivery Managers. Determines appropriate corrective action.
• Effectively prioritizes competing training requests; understands when to escalate for definitive prioritization or validation of own recommendations.
• Exceptional judgment and instincts. Is right a lot.
• Experience with SalesForce and knowledge of Amazon Web Services or Cloud Computing concepts.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment.
• Superb customer focus, attention to detail, prioritization and organization skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $54,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $131,000/year in our highest geographic market.
