How you’ll make an impact:
The Senior Specialist, Designer will be responsible for delivering a high volume of assets used across tiles in SiriusXM’s next generation app to merchandise shows and episodes from across our music, talk and sports groups. This role will source guest/topic/thematic imagery and create tiles within existing design templates as well as serve as the team’s key liaison with Creative Labs to guide opportunities requiring larger, more complex design solutions. The ideal candidate will have a background in graphic design and possess a high attention to detail with photo and graphical design work used in app merchandising.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver high-quality, on-me designs and ideas around content presentations that consider cross-functional requirements.
- Present work to Senior Leadership and clearly communicates design rationale, process and decisions while collecting feedback.
- Collaborate with various departments (User Research, Product Management, Engineering and Business partners) to understand our listeners and collect data needed to make design decisions.
- Actively contribute new processes and ways of thinking around creative presentations, to an evolving, multi-disciplinary App Programming team.
- Key facilitator for identifying opportunities deserving of more complex design solutions and shepherding through cross-collaborative process with Creative Labs.
- Serve as App Programming leader of the ongoing effort to enhance the visual quality of promotions for an optimized showcase of content.
- Assist in maintaining organization of content in CMS and digital assets in DAM system.
- Perform daily quality checks to ensure optimal user experience across streaming platforms.
What you’ll need:
- BA in Graphic Design or related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated success as a designer on web and mobile platforms, and experience working with a variety of project types.
- Impeccable attention to detail and quality.
- Strong interest in music, talk & entertainment, and sports digital content and
- well-versed with DSP competitor landscape.
- Excellent me management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Adept in information gathering and organizing.
- Flexibility to support occasional off-business hours including some weekends required.
- Proficiency in relevant Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Sketch, Figma,
- Abstract, Zeplin, or other relevant design tools.
- Experience with Content Management and Digital Asset Management Systems and taxonomical organization of information.
- Experience with collaboration tools like Monday.com, etc.
- Knowledgeable in G Suite and Google Docs.
- Knowledge of standards and best practices for digital media formats and descriptive Metadata
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $71,300 to $75,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
