Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Manager of Contract Management. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation and drafting to execution and renewal. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our contracts are well-structured, compliant, and aligned with our business goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, adept at managing cross-functional teams, and possesses a strong understanding of legal and contractual principles.
Responsibilities
- Contract Oversight: Manage the end-to-end contract management process, including contract drafting, negotiation, execution, and renewal. Ensure that all contracts align with company policies, legal requirements, and business objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of contract professionals, including contract administrators and coordinators. Provide guidance on best practices, performance expectations, and professional development.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal departments, such as legal, procurement, finance, and sales, to ensure that contracts are accurate, compliant, and meet the needs of all stakeholders.
- Contract Development: Work closely with legal counsel to create, review, and modify contract templates and standard terms and conditions. Tailor contracts to address specific project or client requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contract terms and conditions. Implement strategies to minimize contractual exposure and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Negotiation Support: Provide guidance and support during contract negotiations. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to reach favorable outcomes that protect the company’s interests.
- Contract Performance: Monitor contract performance and compliance throughout the contract lifecycle. Work with relevant teams to address any deviations from agreed-upon terms and conditions.
- Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain contract management metrics and reports to track contract status, milestones, and key performance indicators. Use data-driven insights to optimize contract management processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancement and automation within the contract management function. Implement best practices to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or related field; Juris Doctor (JD) is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in contract management, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- In-depth understanding of contract law, legal terminology, and contract negotiation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and address contractual risks.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Professional certification in contract management (e.g., CCM, CPCM) is a plus.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $96,020.00 – $153,632.00 /year. The rate/Range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
