The Corporate External and Legal Affairs (CELA) Environmental Sustainability (ES) team coordinates overall science-based, measurable, and scalable sustainability investments and outcomes across the company – engaging with business groups to set goals related to reductions in the environmental impacts of business operations and positive environmental outcomes resulting from technology and policy development.
To support these efforts, CELA ES is hiring an Engagement Business Manager. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this position will contribute to the communication needs of the CSO and team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about driving structure, working with stakeholders to manage team participation in key business events, running business reviews and other strategic business planning activities. - Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 4+ years experience in internal communications, professional writing, operations management, strategy, project management, or business-related roles
- OR equivalent experience.

- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in internal communications, professional writing, operations management, strategy, project management, or business-related roles

Corporate Social Responsibility IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 – $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 – $213,200 per year.

Responsibilities:
- Collaboratively develop an executive stakeholder engagement strategy to amplify the Chief Sustainability Officer’s (CSO) messaging priorities with internal and external stakeholders, by leveraging knowledge of the CSO’s goals, performing sustainability landscape research, and contributing thought leadership on key priorities.
- Leverage and build broad networks to foster internal and external relationships that support execution across the business. Manage and cultivate relationships with leaders and peers of internal teams. Maximize a culture to support and represent the leader and team.
- Collaboratively drive and manage process and substantive outcomes for CSO stakeholder engagements, in collaboration with Chief of Staff and EA , including maintaining work-back process for CSO and team alignment. Manage incoming ES requests on sustainability and related resources such as Sustainability Speakers Bureau and content library.
- Leverage leadership team input and understanding of audiences to create briefings for CSO meetings, travel, and events in alignment with stakeholder needs and expectations, relevant Corporate frameworks, Sustainability agenda, and business goals. Work across corporate functions to amplify the CSO messaging priorities through online platforms like X and LinkedIn.
- Refine and implement CSO engagement criteria for internal and external engagement opportunities, including providing recommendations in alignment with stakeholder engagement strategy.
- Develop and manage regular internal communications for cohesive CSO messaging, employee engagement, and culture. Manage special projects as needed.
