Position requires 3 days of work/week minimum at the above facility, while the other 2 days/week can be worked remotely.
Description:
Our client is seeking project manager support responsible for leading a team of IT professionals in completing projects by a set deadline to uphold business initiatives.
Activities will include:
- Lead Cloud migrations from on-prem environments to Cloud environments or in deploying SaaS services in vendor Clouds. Also assist with operationalizing deployments and support of Cloud services for NCT Operations.
- Work with Software Engineering, Quality Engineering and Operations teams to resolve any technical or business impediments affecting project delivery.
- Help teams develop and drive a plan with well-defined milestones.
- Interface with all areas affected by the project, including end users and other internal/external groups to coordinate project activities.
- Help teams increase efficiency by identifying bottlenecks, eliminating redundancy, and tailoring SDLC processes to fit their needs.
- Work closely with the channel and product partners selected to this project.
- Analyze existing business applications and Cloud platform technical requirements to ensure that functional, technical, and application migration changes adhere to global technical and Cloud standards.
- Coordinates with different technical teams responsible for applications’ migration between development, test, integration, and Production environments.
- Manages change requests for all cloud migration activities, and tracks all events associated with those activities in order to maximize systems availability and avoid errors.
- Communicates changes to appropriate constituent groups.
- Creating and maintaining detailed project plans for assigned projects.
- Scheduling and meeting with technical staff regularly
- Reporting status updates (including risks) to upper management.
- Organize data to represent key measures of progress and performance for presentation to multiple levels of the Organization.
- Assist with developing and improving processes.
- Creating templates for documentation of projects, reports, onboarding, etc…
- Assist in improving control of production operations and project activities.
- Develop and prepare appropriate metrics reports for operational and project activities for internal management and control, and for higher management information.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Project Management or directly related field.
- Overall, 5 to 7 years of technology industry experience, primarily in software development, Cloud service delivery or project management
- 3 to 5 years Cloud project management experience, with large enterprise IT projects (deployment, migration, with a value of $1 million or more)
- Scrum, PMP, Prince2 or other Project Management methodology certificates or equivalent qualifications
- Experienced with recognized project management methodologies including work breakdown structures, risk/issue management, resource loading, project monitoring and controlling, and quality assurance.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud technology
- Experience with a software professional services or consulting firm (SaaS preferred) including proven ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical customers alike.
- Experienced Office Manager or managing/tracking projects – Communications Specialist
- Strong MS Office skills a MUST (MS PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Word); Tech Writer skillset a plus.
- Need strong ability to construct creative & professional ELT PowerPoint presentations and CIO Level communications.
- Maintain team SharePoint site with pertinent and timely information regarding updates of Projects, the team activities, etc.
- Assist management with attendance of ELT meetings on behalf of executive for note taking/project tracking to support/provide ELT updates.
- Ability to communicate with highly technical staff to understand project enough to report and assist with documenting SOPs, technical evaluations, and designs.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Compiling of project data and reports on status of key projects to management
- Analyzing project data and producing insights to optimize performance.
- Developing code to build data pipelines, including extracting, transforming, and loading data into a destination data store.
- Generate presentations, reports, and dashboards to provide visibility in all Vendor Performance projects.
- Identifying any automation opportunities to streamline data storage, data flow, and data reporting processes for all Vendor Performance projects.
- Providing advanced support for the diagnosis and resolution of complex problems to ensure minimal disruption of mission-critical systems and applications.
- Providing technical recommendations to USPS management to assist with decision making, in order to achieve performance and financial goals.
Project Objectives:
Support Client Network and Compute Technologies (NCT) staff in meeting requirements and deliverables related to SaaS deployments in vendor managed Cloud environments or migration projects from on-prem to Cloud environments.
- 10 year ‘s experience in the Design, Development, and implementation in the SaaS environment, includes but is not limited to;
- Experience/Ability to complete the following deliverables for each SaaS project:
- Architect and deploy the DEV, SIT, CAT, PROD environments.
- Define and deploy all integrations required for the environments.
- Complete customizations of code as required in each environment.
- Define the following test criteria for each environment:
- End-to-End testing
- Integration testing
- Load/Volume Scalability testing
- UAT testing
- Define cutover criteria from on-prem environments to Cloud environments.
- Define monitoring requirements for all integrations, compute environments, network environments.
- Define Service Level Agreement terms to measure SaaS vendor performance.
