Software Development Team Lead

Responsibilities

Peraton is adding a Software Developer Lead to our CFTC Program. This person will lead a team of deveoeprs with diversed background.

What you will do…

  • Lead an applications development and systems integration team responsible for building and delivering enterprise-grade software systems developed using the Microsoft .Net platform.
  • Be responsible for delivering critical projects on time and on budget while managing the daily activities of a small software development team.
  • Collaborate with all functional areas to define and document systems requirements.
  • Be responsible for researching, selecting, purchasing, installing, configuring, and managing third-party off-the-shelf software.
  • Be responsible for build vs. buy decisions and the integration of third-party products into the existing systems architecture.
  • Play a crucial role in the development and implementation of a long-term strategic plan and roadmap for the business and operations support systems of the organization.
  • Organizes projects through development of a project plan which includes communication of product goals as defined by top management.
  • Monitors technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors Degree and at least 2 to 4 years of related experience. Additional years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • 2+ years of experience with object-oriented applications development
  • 2+ years of experience architecting and building scalable web applications using the Microsoft stack
  • 2+ years of experience with the Microsoft .Net platform, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Microsoft SQL Server
  • 2+ years of experience managing individuals and teams, and managing formal projects
  • 2+ years of experience with systems analysis, software development and software lifecycle best practices
  • 2+ years of experience managing individuals and teams, and managing formal projects
  • Experience in web application development and use of related technologies (Java, HTML, XML/XSL, CSS, etc.).
  • Experience with Microsoft Entity Framework, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Krypto, Open XML Format SDK, Report Viewer, and Internet Information
  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an agency clearance

Preferred Quaifications:

  • Experience installing, configuring and administering Web-based applications, relational databases, and open-source projects (such as Apache Web-Server, Apache Tomcat)
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Active Public Trust clearance

Target Salary Range

$66,000 – $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
