Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in the Communication Media and Technology domain. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in business analysis techniques and processes, agile methodologies, user story writing, and SQL, with a proven track record of delivering impactful digital solutions. This role will play a crucial part in driving innovation and efficiency within our & our client’s organization.
Location: El Segundo – CA (Hybrid)

Job Responsibilities:
• Efficiently lead the conversation, and gather requirements from Business , understand the concerns, identify the risk, and communicate it in timely fashion.
• Ensure document the application system by following multiple cross functional requirements (e.g., Security, Quality, cross-functional Business, Legal)
• Develop clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and wireframes that effectively communicate project requirements to development teams.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure timely project delivery.
• Utilize SQL and data analysis skills to extract insights, perform data validation, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
• Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development.
• Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability.
• Partner with stakeholders across business units (ex: sales, finance, security, compliance) to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams.
• Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties.
• Ability to make quick informed decision and understand the clear priority and escalate as needed.
• Must be creative to deliver innovative solutions to address critical business needs. Highly agile, and ability to quickly pivot the plan and execute.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the Communication Media and Technology sector.
Required skills and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in the Communication Media and Technology domain.
• At least 3 years of domain knowledge in Communication and Media processes
• Proficiency in agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with digital transformation projects is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Certifications such as CSPO or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) are advantageous.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $91,990 – $ 132,990 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
