We Are Seeking
Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the IT Applications Analyst position with either a level I, II, or III analyst.
The IT Applications Analyst reports to the IT Applications Supervisor. The primary function of this position is to establish, administer, and manage the data, workflows, and systems, as well as advise management regarding risks to the Town. This position manages vendor and stakeholder relationships and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Duties include developing and assisting with end-user workflows and customizing software applications to meet customer needs. Customer needs may consist of developing back-end database and application procedures compatible with current systems. This position researches and identifies new ways of doing business, including thorough testing and documentation.
This position is in a hybrid work environment requiring two scheduled days on-site a week. Modified work privileges are approved at the sole discretion of the department director; as such, the department reserves the right to modify or discontinue modified work arrangements at any point. Regardless of work location (Remote, On-Site, or Hybrid) Town of Gilbert employees are required to reside in the state of Arizona by hire date. This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt – ineligible for overtime compensation.
This position plays a very important role on the Municipal Applications team, as well as organization wide. Here are some essential duties and responsibilities:
Applications Analyst I
Annual Salary Range: $73,507.26 – $110,260.89
- Establish, administer, and manage data and processes related to various applications including workflow, configuration, troubleshooting, user maintenance;
- Assist in requirements gathering and work with Project Manager for application upgrades and implementations;
- Provide Tier I support across all Enterprise applications;
- Analyze business processes, including exploration, definition, and solution identification;
- Read, understand, and interpret best practices and regulatory requirements as needed;
- Participate in training of staff (both municipal and IT) on use of application and new features;
- Conduct system updates, backup, and disaster recovery, and maintain update processes;
- Work to create reports for managing work and data using reporting tools;
- Anticipate needs and research/offer solutions;
- Other duties as assigned.
Applications Analyst II
Annual Salary Range: $80,264.06 – $120,396.09
- Establish, administer, and manage data and processes related to specific applications including workflow, configuration, troubleshooting, user maintenance;
- Serve as project manager for application upgrade and implementation process;
- Provide Tier I and II support across specific Enterprise applications;
- Analyze business processes, including exploration, definition, and solution identification;
- Read, understand, and interpret best practices and regulatory requirements as needed;
- Lead and/or participate in training of staff (both municipal and IT) on use of application and new features;
- Conduct system updates, backup, and disaster recovery, and maintain update processes;
- Work to create reports for managing work and data using reporting tools;
- Anticipate needs and research/offer solutions;
- Other duties as assigned.
Applications Analyst III
Annual Salary Range: $88,482.10 – $132,723.15
- Establish, administer, and manage data and processes related to enterprise applications including workflow, configuration, troubleshooting, user maintenance;
- Serve as project manager for application upgrade and implementation process;
- Provide Tier I and II support across critical Enterprise applications;
- Analyze business processes, including exploration, definition, and solution identification;
- Read, understand, and interpret best practices and regulatory requirements as needed;
- Lead and/or participate in training of staff (both municipal and IT) on use of application and new features;
- Conduct system updates, backup, and disaster recovery, and maintain update processes;
- Work to create reports for managing work and data using reporting tools;
- Anticipate needs and research/offer solutions;
- Other duties as assigned.

Applications Analyst II
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent work experience
- 5 years of Information Technology and Enterprise Application industry support
- 3 years in Information Technology and Enterprise Application Support with workflows, configuration setup, and maintenance
- 3 years of requirements gathering and project work
- 1 year supporting SaaS environments
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License
Applications Analyst III
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent work experience
- 7 years of application administration and configuration
- 7 years of Information Technology industry experience
- 5 years of Enterprise Application Support
- 5 years of business process analysis and project management
- 3 years supporting SaaS environments
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License
