Description
The Core Banking Strategy team is aligned to each of the Core Banking businesses including Retail, Business Banking, Deposits, Contact Center, and Retail Network Transformation and is responsible for the development and delivery of the five-year strategic plan. The Sr. Strategy Consultant role will be responsible for developing and leading strategic programs to deliver on top strategic priorities including analyzing the current state of the business, assessing competitors and industry trends, developing options to progress the strategic agenda, and partnering with finance to determine profitability measures. This role will drive the connectivity of our strategy across Core Banking and ensure we have a clear roadmap to successfully deliver expected financial returns.
Supporting the Delivery of the Business Strategy
- Develop long-term strategic plans and visions
- Provide assessments on industry trends, competitive positioning, benchmarking
- Validate consistent strategy horizontally across the consumer bank
- Develop strategic delivery roadmaps
- Support ongoing measurement of success
- Ensure progress of strategic priorities across Core Banking
- Coordinate plan to delivery including roadmap and ownership
- Track and monitor progress
- Coordinate with key stakeholders and provide visibility to leadership
- Fully integrate with business line for a complete understanding of priorities, challenges, risks and line of sight to execution
- Support in coordinating large, highly matrixed programs to ensure timely delivery
- Create concise, synthesized updates for senior management
Preparing Updates and Coordinating Executive Level Presentations
- Synthesize strategic work into a clear, concise presentation
- Submit high-quality, well-organized material on time
- Track to and create visibility for deadlines
- Coordinate stakeholders for various content
- Partner closely with finance to prepare businesses cases / forecasting needed to inform the strategy
- Assist with preparation of speaking points to drive conversation
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or other related field required
- Previous experience in a strategic consulting role a plus
- Minimum of 5 years related experience
- Fundamental understanding of the financial services industry
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent engagement, partnership, and relationship building skills
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Hours & Work Schedule
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: 8-5 Monday – Friday
The salary range for this position is $85,000-$115,000, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus (remove if not applicable). Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
