Description

Under the direction of the Marketing Director, the Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for managing and soliciting corporate partnerships for the museum. The role will oversee all aspects of the museum’s corporate relationships including but not limited to, executing contract deliverables around exhibitions, campaigns and programs, strategizing opportunities, coordinating events, and liaising internally with key stakeholders.

The partnership manager has the responsibility to identify, cultivate, and manage partnerships that align with the museum’s mission and objectives, building strong relationships with corporate partners, brands, automotive manufacturers, and other organizations to drive revenue growth, enhance the museum’s visibility and brand awareness, and expand its impact.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all partnership communication.
  • Provide full hospitality to existing and prospect museum partners, utilizing detail-oriented customer service and sales strategies.
  • Oversee the execution of partner events to ensure contractual items are delivered and partner needs are met.
  • Research and identify potential partners and organizations that align with the museum’s mission and values, prioritizing long-term, multi-year agreements.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to establish partnership goals and objectives.
  • Create customized partnership proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value of collaborating with the Petersen Museum, aimed at exhibit sponsorships and event activations, including budgets and benefits.
  • Regularly communicate with partners to provide updates on the impact of their support and explore opportunities for further engagement.
  • Track contract terms and identify extension opportunities.
  • Foster long-term relationships with partners at various levels of their organizations.
  • Collaborate with all museum departments to ensure successful execution and integration of partnership programs and initiatives.
  • Work with marketing, events and design teams to develop co-branded promotional materials and maximize visibility for partners.
  • Develop a schedule for each partner for contractual deliverables — on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Track the performance of partnership programs against established goals and KPIs.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for museum leadership and partners to demonstrate the impact of partnerships.
  • Deliver above-board level of attention to detail and organization
  • Provide support and departmental representation at partner-events and exhibitions (entails occasional evening and weekend work)
  • Manage budgets associated with partnership expenses- which includes managing campaign costs, exhibition costs, event costs as well as invoicing partners and securing payment

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of Automotive industry required.
  • Knowledge of the museum or nonprofit sector is a plus.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or related roles.
