Additive Manufacturing Technician

The Role
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated individual, with a minimum 3 years 3D Printing experience, interested in expanding the skill sets necessary to operate Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing equipment in our rapidly growing Additive Manufacturing department.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic and advanced functions with regard to 3D printing , required to set up builds on various systems
  • Perform all functions related to machine turnaround and preparation for SLS, MJF, SLA, and FDM builds
  • Daily and weekly facility clean-up
  • Part Break-Out and clean-up
  • Secondary post-processing functions
  • Proper packaging of parts/orders to be shipped
  • Any other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • At least 3 years operating 3D printers and working in an Additive Manufacturing/Rapid Prototyping R&D environment or Service Bureau. Experience with HP5200 series systems desired
  • Ability, with limited guidance, to repeatedly produce complex and tight tolerance components
  • Willingness to learn GD&T
  • Experience with multiple 3D printing and/or CAD software systems: 3D Sprint, PreForm, Grab Cad, Control Center, Eiger, Build Set Up, Magics, CATIA, SolidWorks, NetFab, Rhino, Pro-E
  • 2 year degree or Tech. School certification highly desired
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as required, with little to no advance notice, and sometimes for extended periods

      $24.00 – $65.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
