Position Summary

The Global DPS & LATAM MedTech Supply Chain Communications Manager will oversee all Global DPS & LATAM Region MedTech Supply Chain communications, including internal, external, and site communications for our 9 global DPS manufacturing facilities (and any future facilities).
This person will work in close partnership with the Global and Franchise Supply Chain Communications Team on an overall MedTech Supply Chain communications strategy that supports our MedTech and J&J business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Business and influence network
• Serve as the communications partner to the DPS Supply Chain Vice President and provide strategic communications council to the DPS Supply Chain Leadership Team.
• Serve as a critical member of the extended DPS Franchise GCA Leadership Team
• Work closely with the LATAM Regional Supply Chain Leadership team on critical communications initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with the MedTech Supply Chain communication team to ensure consistency and linkage of plans and messages to the Supply Chain strategy and priorities across the sector and regions, and between leaders and site employees.
• Collaborate with the MedTech LATAM Regional Communications teams to ensure alignment on key strategic initiatives.
• Identify internal and external opportunities to elevate the MedTech Supply Chain Narratives through proactive engagement initiatives connected to broader communication strategy.
• Work closely with the Supply Chain Leaders in Pharm and the Enterprise to ensure strategic alignment on global issues management and reputation.
• Manage a team of contractors as needed for special projects or as assigned to global site locations.
Communications Plans / Content Creation
• Develop the communications channel strategy to ensure critical initiatives reach our global manufacturing employees across the DPS Franchise and LATAM region.
• Manage global MedTech Supply Chain communications initiatives across 9 global DPS sites.
• Develop and execute the DPS& LATAM Supply Chain Communications Plans in alignment with the franchise and regional communications plans.
• Deliver initiatives that engage Supply Chain associates to advance the business and position the MedTech Supply Chain as a competitive advantage and growth driver for J&J
• Write feature content, articles, video scripts, newsletters, and articles.
• Together with the Global MedTech Supply Chain Communications Leader, provide strategic counsel to Supply Chain LATAM Region Senior Leaders and the DPS Franchise Leadership Team, driving engagement and shaping the dialogue of Supply Chain as a competitive advantage/critical partner.
• Counsel, develop and implement organizational communications for Supply Chain sites and the DPS Leadership Team (e.g., Town Halls, leader calls, talking points, etc.)
• Contribute to the continued development of MedTech Supply Chain E2E narrative to align key stakeholders to our value proposition.
• Drive strong alignment between the global Supply Chain strategy and the strategy within the DPS Supply Chain and LATAM region.
• Ensure all communications are translated to local languages.
Issues Management / Network Transformation
• Lead sector/region/franchise/site crisis management teams to identify, assess, and address emerging risks related to employee health and safety, product quality and supply; act with appropriate urgency; collaborate with corporate/sector/franchise communication colleagues, as appropriate.
• Collaborate on communications planning and messaging for critical network transformation initiatives within the DPS business & LATAM region with significant business impact (including site openings and closures) while maintaining confidentiality and protecting business reputation through risk mitigation planning.
• Serve as a key liaison to Supply Chain organization and commercial communication team to research and explain operational causes, impacts and solutions for issues within the DPS and LATAM Supply Chain organizations; develop and contribute to the development of messaging for various audiences (including employees, customer service, investors, and media); monitor resolutions and update materials as needed.
• Collaborate with Media Relations, Employee Communications, Legal, Public Affairs, R&D, and other areas of MedTech and J&J as appropriate to drive strategic initiatives.
Measurement & Metrics
• Provide insights to design and effectively apply two-way communication channels for employees.
• Monitor, measure and improve effective communication utilizing a continuous improvement mindset across both the region and franchise.
• Provide metrics reports to key leadership and stakeholders on a bi-annual basis.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Communications; Marketing, Journalism, or Public Relations
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a communications
- At least 1 year of people management experience
- This person must be able to manage multiple global projects concurrently by demonstrating a strong ability to prioritize across numerous ‘critical’ initiatives
- Ability to provide strategic communications council to top leaders within the business
- Strategic thinker with ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information, listening and critical reasoning skills
- Trusted business advisor with the ability to lead highly confidential projects
- Ability to manage multiple global stakeholders
- Superior writing, editing, and oral presentation skills in English and Spanish
- High-level visual communication skill (including presentation development)
- Understanding of public perceptions as well as new media/communications approaches
- Creativity in developing options and solutions
- Ability to plan and execute communication campaigns for products, categories, corporate and public affairs issues
- Media relations and Investor relations experience
- Budget and agency management experience
- Experience and/or willingness to plan and operate townhall meetings in onsite, online, and hybrid format
- Experience in managing organization change and business transformation is a must
Preferred:
• Prior Supply Chain communication and healthcare experience preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $113,000 to $195,500.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
