Job Summary
Serves as hands-on leader who works with leaders and cross-functional teams on key process improvement initiatives contributing to the university’s overall strategic plan while driving a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborates with senior leadership to prioritize projects and review results, managing cross-functional teams, and making presentations to stakeholders to introduce changed and new processes and project results. Responsible for managing improvement projects at the department to enterprise level and assists department leaders in the development and documentation of policies and procedures. Responsible for the management of the Administrative Effectiveness program for the university.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: –
1. Maintains operations of the institution process supporting SACSCOC standard 7.3, administrative effectiveness
2. Manages the Administration and Finance Business Process Management system, helping to identify areas for improvement
3. Responsible for the leadership, performance management, recruitment and mentorship of assigned staff
4. Leads the execution and delivery of process improvement initiatives
5. Analyzes processes and procedures and develops enhancements and assists with implementation strategies
6. Develops prioritization procedure for process improvement needs and requests
7. Develops workable implementation plans to include measurements for success
8. Networks with internal and external resources to bring best practices to projects and the institution
9. Manages the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring to ensure that project goals, objectives and metrics are being met and maintained
10. Researches and identifies opportunities to develop common procedures and best practices from within the industry
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, process management, or operations.
Required Experience
Five (5) years of experience in process optimization, operations, or business management.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Projected Management and/or Six Sigma certification
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Previous work experience in higher education
Proposed Salary
The budgeted salary for this opening is $ $75,300 – $96,000 per year.
