GET TO KNOW THE ROLE
The Valet Manager is responsible for the overall supervision of the Valet department and Bell Desk services. Ensures Muckleshoot Casino Resort’s bell desk, valet and shuttle programs are within the highest standard of GUEST service and all established policies, procedures, and practices are followed for the protection of company assets and the safety of guests and team members.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Be the face of MCR for new hires and team members; exemplify MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
- Practice, support and promote the vision, mission, and values of the Muckleshoot Casino Resort (MCR).
- Oversee daily valet/transportation operations for the casino. Directly manage staff, including, but not limited to hiring, coaching, work assignments, schedules, department evaluations, and corrective action.
- Lead, direct, and develop team members to accomplish annual and periodic goals/initiatives.
- Apply and ensure policies and procedures related to valet/transportation and safety protocol are adhered to; ensure compliance with applicable regulations, internal control, and casino policies and procedures.
- Implement departmental procedures and policies to ensure efficient, safe, and secure operations; ensure departmental procedures are enforced and effective in assuring proper protection of operations from loss due to mistake or theft.
- Effectively develop and mentor staff to ensure all departmental standards, goals, and responsibilities are understood and met.
- Manages the use and maintenance of the department’s internal and external valet system and equipment.
- Manage staff time and attendance using applicable software systems; ensure payroll is timely and accurate; ensure all PTO requests are responded to timely and in accordance with established casino policy and department standard operating procedures.
- Ensure expenses are managed and guest satisfaction is maximized by maintaining the highest level of service thresholds and initiatives that are aligned with the expectations of the casino.
- Continuously communicate with Safety and Claims to ensure accurate reporting of risk incidents in valet/transportation and vulnerabilities.
- Respond to all emergency situations as they arise.
- Work a flexible schedule to include, days, nights, weekends, holidays, overnights, and extended hours and remain available “on-call”.
- Ensure driver training and associated valet/transportation training is executed and all records are updated and maintained.
- Develop, maintain, and review tracking and logging processes to measure and monitor productivity and capacity.
- Manage the department’s annual budget, ensuring adherence to budget guidelines.
- Manage shuttle service for team members when needed and as assigned.
- Manage the valet/transportation function to ensure that exceptional GUEST service is provided through proper staffing.
- Safeguard property assets.
- Ensure the security of vehicles and keys.
- Ensure all claims checks are legibly written; with all necessary information including any prior damage to the vehicle.
- Responsible for the proper handling of confidential information, reports, incidents, and materials.
- Provide positive GUEST relations by assisting guests, vendors, suppliers, and team members as requested, needed, and required.
- Manage and maintain all company vehicles by ensuring that routine and scheduled maintenance occurs.
- Manage fuel for vehicles and track usage/expenditures.
- Maintain a positive attitude in extreme weather conditions.
- Ensure staff is using prescribed alternative transportation solutions to guests that appear to be intoxicated, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive and safe work environment; promote positive team member relations and report issues to appropriate personnel.
- Smile and engage guests and team members with a positive professional demeanor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Three (3) years related supervisor experience within a high-volume operation required.
- Casino/Hospitality experience required.
- Possess and maintain a valid WA State Driver’s License and clean MVR required.
- MAST other sanctioned alcohol awareness certification required.
- Ability to obtain a Class III A gaming license.
HOW YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL
- Knowledge of valet operations.
- Skilled in effective conflict resolution and de-escalation with guests and team members.
- Skilled in current Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to: Word; Excel; Outlook; Time and
- Ability to demonstrate advanced written and verbal communication skills. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with speed, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate advanced report writing skills.
- Ability to operate all types of passenger vehicles with standard or automatic transmission in a safe manner and adhere to traffic laws and diving regulations.
- Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Ability to efficiently drive results in stressful situations.
- Ability a sense of urgency and timeliness.
- Ability to demonstrate proactive actions and anticipate business needs.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent organization and guest service skills.

WHAT TO EXPECT
- Availability – Ability to work different shifts, holidays, weekends, and nights to support a 24/7 operation.
- Physical – Ability to maneuver in all areas of the casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push, or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
- Environment – Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
