Senior Product Manager – Tech, Security Intelligence

We assess risk, classify data and systems, detect potential intrusion, and mitigate the risk.

We are part of the Amazon Security organization and are looking for a Senior Product Manager Technical (PM-T III) to drive direction for solutions with division-wide security and compliance impact. You will be in charge of the roadmap and setting vision for how customers consume and integrate our products. We are looking for people with the desire to make big changes and introduce new paradigms for our customers and partners.

This role is inherently cross-functional and requires a strong ability to influence and partner with other teams. In this role, you will exercise your leadership skills as you understand the business requirements from internal customers and senior management, negotiate prioritization, and represent their needs to the global Amazon Security development teams.

Amazon Stores Security is a high visibility team that solves security challenges at a massive scale. Our systems are foundational to the Amazon ecosystem and built with world-class fundamentals. You will interact with and deliver value for various Amazon businesses including Amazon Stores, Prime, Digital, Alexa, and AWS. Take the lead role in creating the tools that define the resource inventory, knowledge graph, and security posture across one of the largest and most diverse companies in the world.

You interact with a broad cross-section of the Amazon organization, spanning a wide range of technologies.

Key job responsibilities

* Build and contribute to roadmap: Identify customer needs, technology/industry trends, challenges, use cases, trends, and related services to help build a roadmap of studies to evaluate and improve customer experience.

* Manage ambiguity: Independently take steps necessary to understand complex technologies and customer use cases across a variety of customer personas and product categories to produce meaningful insights that drive improved customer experience.

* Lead large and complex studies: Design and build proof of concept experiments based on common customer use cases to evaluate the end-to-end customer experience. Own the full study lifecycle, including scoping, design, data collection and analysis, and presenting a comprehensive written narrative of insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive improvements.

* Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with internal technical stakeholders (e.g., technical product managers, software developers, security engineers, data scientists) to execute studies and work cross-functionally with peers/colleagues globally to support training, best practices, and shared opportunities.

* Focus on customers: Stay connected to customer trends, needs, and pain points in the cloud space. Collaborate with customer researchers to deliver customer insights that identify and drive customer experience improvements.

A day in the life

You will own and contribute to studies that evaluate the customer experience of executing use cases on security issue management services, as well as technology/industry trends and the voice of the customer. You will join an expanding team, leverage your technical and domain skills, and apply a variety of methodologies to drive these studies. You will collaborate with product teams and senior leaders to provide insights and drive improvements that help us achieve our vision to be Earth’s Most Customer-Centric Company.

About the team

We are a team of builders that empower the security community with information and solutions to detect, protect, analyze, and respond to every threat targeting Amazon stores. The security knowledge graph provides context and relationships across resources to identify attack paths, issue ownership, and security and compliance posture. We develop graph data science and ML-based solutions like application modeling and integrate with critical security across the company.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

– Experience managing technical products or online services

– Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

– Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
