We’re looking for a Senior Supply Chain Contracts Manager to support our Aircraft and Space and Defense groups. This role can be located in either Torrance, CA or East Aurora, NY and reports to the Director for Contracts, Compliance and Legal and indirectly reports to the Moog Legal Department. You will be expected to travel approximately 20% – 25% to various Aircraft and Space and Defense sites world-wide.

• Bachelor’s Degree and JD
• 7+ experience in purchasing and/or sales contracts
• Strong legal drafting skills
• Ability to exhibit leadership and influence without direct authority
• Direct experience in the field of contract drafting negotiation and management
• Experience with the UCC, FAR/DFARS and ITAR and commercial, international, and US Government contracting
As a Senior Supply Chain Contracts Manager, you will:
• Develop and maintain standard templates, including long-term Supplier Agreements, Standard Terms and Conditions and other contract vehicles.
• Develop policy, procedure and training requirements to ensure the global Supply Chain organization and processes are compliant with customer and regulatory contract requirements.
• Lead a team that provides legal support to the global Supply Chain team, resulting in supplier contracts that result in improved operational performance including lead time and inventory reduction, and minimize Supply Chain risk. This support includes reviewing proposed supplier contractual deviations, drafting contractual language and participating in contract negotiations.
• Deliver rapid and effective responses in highly-charged, ambiguous situations, with limited opportunity for research or consultation. These situations may involve potential disputes with suppliers. The successful candidate and Supply Chain Contracts team will be forced to develop and execute strategies based on accumulated knowledge and experience with similar situations.
• Collaborate with other Moog functional disciplines (Export, Import, Tax, Treasury, etc.) in managing the more complex aspects of international transactions including: VAT and tax implications, INCOTERMS, letters of credit, offset programs and export and import compliance.
• Lead personnel development with the objectives of: (1) training supply chain personnel Moog agreements, commercial and US Government terms and conditions Moog policies and procedures; change management, risk management (including maintaining documentation related to potential supplier claims, disputes and litigation), contract provision evaluation, contractual drafting, and contract negotiations; (2) creating a team proficient in the laws, regulations and industry practices applicable to US Government, international and commercial procurements; (3) training the team in the review, approval or response development to supplier proposed changes to Moog standard terms and conditions; and (4) developing a pipeline of future Moog managers.
• Provide advice to Senior Leadership regarding impact to the Supply Chain of laws and regulations including Federal Public Laws and Statues, Federal Acquisition Regulations and all Supplements and Uniform Commercial Code.
• Perform the due diligence process for Moog acquisitions as related to contracting, export compliance and security. Upon closing of the acquisition, you will assist the acquired entity with U.S. Government registrations, the transfer of export licensing, assignment of contracts and novation of Moog responsibility with respect to the acquired company’s government contracts.

Salary Range:
The base pay range for this opportunity is $123,032.00 – $218,649.60 per year. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range
for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just
one component of Moog’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid
time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
