Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead process design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities
  • Analyze product issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop effective solutions that meet end user and client business requirements
  • Develop deep expertise in existing solutions and product architecture
  • Work collaboratively with product design, development, and others to ensure understanding and to gain consensus in solution refinement and improvement
  • Manages the overall resolution, communication, and preventative action process for major service incidents
  • Engage with cross-functional partners to facilitate and guide teams in identifying root cause and high-value opportunities for issue mitigation and prevention
  • Implement risk management practices to ensure early detection through monitoring and control mechanisms
  • Drives process optimization using Lean Six Sigma tools
  • Proven ability to drive results under pressure and in the face of ambiguity
  • Work with minimal direction on complex, technical initiatives
  • Acts as a resource, coaches, and guides others

Sure, you’ll need to diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions. The difficulty is in knowing the right questions to ask. You will solve complex problems as you serve as a resource to others on your elite team. You’ll be expected to find better, more efficient ways of doing things and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, or related field and/or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience with documenting processes and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines
  • Experience utilizing data to influence and drive process optimization
  • Experienced with indirectly leading and coaching others
  • Proven solid judgment, problem resolution, team building, decision-making, & experience working under continual deadline pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with MS Project, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio
  • Health care industry experience
  • Team lead or project lead experience
  • Experience using Lean Six Sigma

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
