The City of Chandler Information Technology Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as an IT Security Architect or IT Security Senior Analyst (2 positions). Both of these positions are full-time, exempt with benefits. The City of Chandler supports diverse working environments including telecommuting.

The City of Chandler, Information Technology Department consists of 58 positions, along with contractors and managed services, that provide technology solutions and support to over 2200 full-time, temporary, and part-time employees in the City.

Who we are looking for
Our new team members will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. The IT Security team plays an essential role in protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of City of Chandler information and systems. The Architect will serve as the lead and will work alongside the Analyst being responsible for implementing, maintaining, and monitoring the daily operations of the IT security program including monitoring alerts, reviewing reports, managing security tickets and continuously improving security processes. These positions will also be leading our security awareness program including anti-phishing campaigns, metrics, and communications.

They will work with the information security team to establish and maintain industry best practice security standards and ensure compliance with Citywide policies and standards through assessments, audits, and plans of action and milestones. These positions will also be responsible for other information security operational processes and to provide backup coverage for others on the information security team. These employees participate in incident response and investigation and creates and updates information security procedures.

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing initiative to anticipate needs in areas of responsibility, excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as the ability to interact professionally with diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts and possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills are preferred.

An employee in these positions will be required to provide support during non-business hours including nights and weekends as needed.

IT Security Architect $98,508.80 – $142,833.60
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field; and five (5) years of recent experience with security and networking related systems analysis supporting a wide variety of operating systems, security technologies, infrastructures and vulnerability assessments including two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

IT Security Sr. Analyst $92,060.80 – $133,494.40
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field; and four (4) years of recent experience in security and networking systems supporting a wide variety of operating systems, security technologies, infrastructures and vulnerability assessments; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
