Surety Specialist III In Los Angeles, CA

What the day will look like:
Apply your advanced knowledge of the surety world as you work independently to provide surety technical advice/support to non-surety personnel and coordinate receipt of pertinent underwriting information. Confirm that bonds are issued in compliance with surety lines of credit and assist in the negotiation of approvals for execution of bonds that are outside of, or in excess of, surety line of credit or broker authority. Upon policy placement, build policy summaries, calculate premium allocations, transmit binders to the client, and initiate all post placement outputs.
As a technical lead, expand and test your training and mentoring skills to coach Associate Specialists and Specialists in this field.
A few of the tasks that we’ll complete together
- Prepare Consent of Surety Final Payment documents, prequalification letters, riders, and other documents required by clients.
- Prepare General Indemnity Agreements/Bond Applications.
- Run expiration lists and update the corresponding records, according to client’s wishes and needs.
- Maintain accurate electronic bond files as well as financial documents.
- Invoice and maintain account receivables/payables.
- Handle countersignature requirements.
- Update client information following renewal completion.
Skills that will lead to success:
We use several proprietary and commercial programs to support our clients, including AonBondLink, Bridge, and Outlook. We’ll work with you to get you up to speed on our tools.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to effectively interpret a variety of technical instructions, taking care of abstract and concrete variables.
- Experience or education in Risk Management/Insurance.
Education and licensing requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role, or equivalent years of industry experience. Maintain Notary Republic designation and appropriate Producer license and Power of Attorney appointments with major surety markets.

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $59,000 to $100,00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
