The salary for this position is $20.00 per hour and is non-negotiable.

Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Training Operations Assistant (TOA) Supervisor, the Training Host is responsible for providing general support for training operations. This includes supporting trainers and trainees in the virtual and classroom environment; managing the training environment; preparing training materials; and various on and off-site coordination tasks. This position is hybrid requiring some telework and some in-person work with travel to training locations within LA county.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
This position is part-time, on an on-call basis, and work is primarily in a training environment.
Candidate must reside in LA county.

TRAINING SUPPORT (95%)
- Support training events in a virtual or in-person classroom environment up to 3-8 days per month on average.
- In the virtual classroom, run training in the Zoom platform, prepare polls and breakout rooms per trainer instructions, and manage minor technical issues.
- In the physical classroom, assures the training environment is kept clean and organized daily.
- Support trainer needs and sends reminders to trainers and trainees of upcoming training deliveries one week before the training day, including the training location.
- Administer evaluations, pre and post-tests, and provide assistance (as needed) in maintaining the integrity and security of evaluation and pre and post-test data.
- Evaluate training day using training observation form scoring rubric on the following: trainer preparedness, training content, transfer of learning and Evidence-Based Practice, training delivery, and strengths and challenges.
- Set up technology (laptops, projectors, speakers, tablets) and ensure they are functioning properly before and during the training.
- Purchase hosting snacks and refreshments for training on and off-site.
- Move audio/visual equipment and other training materials (weighing up to 50 pounds) for various classrooms and event needs.
- Store training materials and host items in a personal residence or vehicle.
- Provide short presentations to groups of 10-35 trainees on an occasional basis.
- Communicate clearly, efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner with Training Coordinators, Training Operations Assistants, and County Partners.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED (5%)
- Stay current on all training team process information, including policies, procedures, resources, concerns, relationships with constituents, and county organizational culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned which are in the best interests of the Academy for Professional Excellence.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous experience in an office or administrative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Some experience in a training environment
- Knowledge of child welfare issues
