Overview:
Aramark Uniform Services is seeking a Principle Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure Organization. This resource will be a senior member of a team that manages 24x7x365 network operations across 400 remote sites and several data center locations. Establishes guidelines and gives direction to Network Administrators for maximum availability and performance of resources in Development, QA and Production environments. Responsible for Network architecture, design and integrations. Works closely with Aramark Uniform NOC & SOC, Network Administration and Application support teams to deliver appropriate services and solutions. This role reports to the Manager of Network Services.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Responsible for installation, update, maintenance and security of the network and networking devices
- Oversees the implementation of newly deployed and purchased network solutions
- Ensure maximum availability of network and network resources to users and production applications
- Manages various network resources in support of business processing requirements
- Provides support for complex problems related to network and business critical applications
- Reviews requirements for new business projects and applications
- Involved in evaluation and selection of network infrastructure technology
- Manages the architecture of Network infrastructure including, Aruba Wireless, BGP, OSPF, Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco, DHCP, Public DNS, FortiGate Firewalls, F5 Big IP, Meraki SD-WAN, Cloud Service providers (OCI)
- Works closely with Managers of Infrastructure and Application teams to support Aramark Uniform Services DR strategies, Network capabilities and functions
- Accountable for operational excellence, ensuring all systems are reliable, accessible, secure and meet established SLA’s / OLA’s for both internal and external customers
- Supporting the goals of the company’s technological alignment efforts
- Seeking out and implementing continuous process improvement opportunities
- Supporting internal communications related to business improvements and processes, system upgrades, and enhancements
- Build and sustain working relationships with all AUS functional areas
- Overseeing appropriate vendor relationships related to associated technologies, services, and solutions needed to operate enterprise functions
- Ensuring accurate and efficient governance policy deployment and adherence
- Report on statuses when requested
- Submit all time and expense reporting procedures accurately and timely
- Maintain good standing and completion on all compliance related matters (i.e., assigned mandatory trainings, actions required from audits, corporate policies, etc.)
- Perform all additional duties and responsibilities based on the direction and guidance of supervisor
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- This position requires formal training and at least ten years’ experience in Network Engineering and administration
- Expert knowledge in Network Engineering and Administration of network Infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Aruba Wireless, BGP, OSPF, Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco, DHCP, Public DNS, FortiGate Firewalls, F5 Big IP, Meraki SD-WAN and OCI
- Skilled and proficient in MS Office O365 suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Communications Tools, etc.)
- Ability to operate with a customer-centric service approach
- Ability to establish performance-based relationships with 3rd party vendors and technology providers and versed in setting standards and measurements for IT processes
- Ability to effectively define a business case, determine return on investment, and measure achievement of the case over time
- Ability to manage and work on multiple concurrent deliverables at various stages of development and completion
- Strong collaboration and team-building skills with the ability to create consensus around decisions and mitigate conflicts among teams
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- Demonstrated attention to detail and quality of work products and communications

Working Environment/Safety Requirements:
Ensure necessary working environment and capabilities to effectively carry out responsibilities if working from a non-AUS location (remote work)
- Ability and willingness to handle work related issues during all hours of the day, every day of the week, understanding the responsibility of our organization’s requirement for 24/7 production support
- Ability, willingness, and flexibility to travel as needed for approved work purposes in accordance with project and management schedules
Experience/Qualifications:
- 10 years of demonstrated hands-on experience in network engineering.
- Experience with the use of Project Management methodologies and tools
- Bachelor and/or Master’s degree preferred but not required
- Be legally able to work in the United States: U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident
License Requirements/Certifications:
- Valid U.S. drivers license (for rental cars when applicable)

Compensation: The salary rate for this position ranges from $95,000 to $150,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
