The Amazon Private Brands Product Sustainability team is looking for an experienced and dynamic product manager to drive efforts to reduce product impact on the environment.
Our vision is to enable APB to make all products more sustainably without requiring customers to sacrifice on price or quality. The Product Sustainability team is responsible for driving environmental standards for APB products. We provide functional teams support to deliver against public sustainability goals, regulatory standards, ASIN level CPF coverage. We focus on providing expertise, education, program management mechanisms, tools, and data to drive functional teams to scalably own in their areas of responsibility.
As the Senior Product Manager, Product Sustainability, you will be responsible for driving efforts to reduce waste, promote product circularity, and track environmental compliance, working with stakeholders across leadership, legal, compliance, engineering, product, finance, and product teams to solve challenging problems in an ambiguous and evolving environment.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop sustainability regulation readiness programs in line with regulatory and business sustainability objectives
• Create and maintain relationships with internal teams and external service providers to support sustainability initiatives
• Engage with Public Policy and Legal teams to monitor, influence and interpret upcoming regulatory requirements
• Monitor and analyze developing sustainability regulatory trends and use insights to influence forward looking strategy
• Provide direction to internal product and technology teams to influence systems, product designs and services
• Coordinate supplier communication strategy together with Sourcing and Compliance teams
• Develop processes to integrate compliance and sustainability objectives into new product development
• Participate in other sustainability initiatives and programs as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
– Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
– Experience in the sustainability field and/or government regulation compliance

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
