The Global Cost Control and Compliance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring efficient financial operations and adherence to regulatory requirements within a multinational organization. This position requires a strong background in financial management, cost control, and compliance, as well as the ability to work across borders and cultures to maintain financial integrity.
Key job responsibilities
1. Cost Control and Analysis:
– Develop and implement cost control strategies and initiatives to optimize operational expenses across all global regions.
– Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to senior management.
2. Budget Management:
– Collaborate with various departments to create and manage annual budgets, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
– Monitor budget performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern and proposing corrective actions.
3. Compliance Oversight:
– Implement compliance policies and procedures, conducting regular audits to mitigate financial risks.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
– Work closely with finance, procurement, and construction teams to streamline processes and maintain cost-efficient practices.
– Provide guidance and training to teams on cost and compliance matters.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
– Prepare and present cost reports and analyses to senior management and executive leadership, offering insights into cost trends and compliance performance.
6. **Vendor Management:**
– Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and agreements to optimize cost structures and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
7. Risk Management
– Identify financial and compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the company’s financial stability.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.
– Proven experience in cost control, financial analysis, and compliance management, with at least 5-7 years in a leadership role.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
– Ability to adapt to changing regulatory environments and international business practices.
– Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA may be advantageous.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
