Within the company, the Data Security team provides cybersecurity guidance to our firm and monitors the security of our data and systems to ensure that we comply with security mandates, such as the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
As a Technical Operations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in scaling the group’s activities to meet the growing needs of Acumen’s technical and enterprise teams. Both the challenge and excitement of the role lie in the flexibility it requires. You will be exposed to a broad range of skills, responsibilities, topics, and collaborators on a regular basis. In return, we ask that you leverage these abilities to work on important initiatives whose outcomes can affect the trajectory of the company.
Responsibilities: The Technical Operations Coordinator is responsible for balancing day-to-day requests while continuing to advance the team’s broader objectives and initiatives. Specifically, you will:
- Work across technical and research teams to understand their needs and workflow
- Contribute to developing and updating resources for Acumen’s technical teams
- Identify gaps or shortcomings in processes or products and make improvements
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures for programs overseen by the team
- Manage multiple work streams under compressed timeframes
- Lead meeting facilitation, minute taking, and drafting stakeholder communications
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, flowcharts, and step-by-step action plans
- Coordinating project management activities, resources and information among team members while providing support as needed
- Monitoring project progress, milestone achievement and aligning it with strategy and delivery schedules
- Proactively assist in resolving any project issues or obstacles that arise
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
Required Skills & Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position will have a bachelor’s degree and exemplify the following qualities:
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong analytical perspective
- 3-4 years’ experience in a coordinator/project management role with security experience
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Adaptive and introspective approach to work
- Initiative and ability to push work forward
- Open communication style (i.e., able to receive feedback and provide it)
- Experience with reviewing and managing legal agreements is a plus
$55,000 – $90,000 a year
This is a full-time, onsite position in our Burlingame, CA Headquarters. The salary range for this position is $55,000- $90,000; consideration for higher compensation may be made for candidates with advanced qualifications and experience.
