Description

The J is hiring energetic Preschool Soccer Coaches for the coming school year. Our Coaches have a variety of responsibilities which can include serving as a customer service point-of-contact, coach, or referee. The J’s soccer program emphasizes learning skills in a fun and positive environment while teaching the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player/referee is preferred, but not mandatory.

Schedule: We are hiring reliable part-time staff to lead our preschool (3-5 year old’s) soccer classes on Sundays.

Will work approx. 4-8 hours per week. Other opportunities may also present themselves.

Essential Functions

  • Coach soccer classes, practices, and games for ages 3-5.
  • Transport balls and equipment between multiple soccer sites
  • Supervise children ages 3 to 5 years old

Requirements

  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Experience as a coach/referee/player is preferred
  • Knowledge of soccer and its rules
  • Able to work a Sundays
  • Must have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing, walking and exposure to the weather outdoors
  • Frequent walking/running, eye/hand/foot coordination, talking and hearing to demonstrate and execute skills
  • Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. to move equipment as needed
