Description

The J is hiring enthusiastic and knowledgeable football coaches for our year-round program, which serves boys and girls in 2nd through 4th grades.

Our coaches will provide instruction and share their knowledge of the game to young players. The J’s football instructional program emphasizes skill development, self-discipline and safety and teaches the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player is required.

Schedule: We are hiring reliable part-time staff to assist with training sessions on weeknights and to coach games on weekends.

Essential Functions

  • Lead football drills at practices and coach games
  • Help set up and tear down equipment
  • Supervise children in 2nd through 4th grade

Requirements

  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Experience as a coach/player is required
  • Knowledge of football and its rules
  • Able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing, walking and exposure to the weather outdoors
  • Frequent walking/running, eye/hand/foot coordination, talking and hearing to demonstrate and execute skills
  • Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. to move equipment as needed
