Our consists of the following programs: Building Management, Property Acquisition, Construction Services, Survey, Replacement and Renewal Projects, as well as Records, Energy/Sustainability, and Grounds Maintenance.
As you will manage all aspects of projects including, but not limited to, project budgeting, scheduling, cost estimating, developing scopes of work, and preparing project status reports. The Project Manager leads the project development by working collaboratively with procurement officials to select construction teams, coordinating contractors needed for the project, as well as consulting and advising clients and department representatives, providing strategic guidance and direction to ensure the Construction Services Division achieves its financial vision, mission, and long-term goals.
NOTE: This position has been designated by the Manatee County Commission as serving at the will and pleasure of the County Administrator. Employees so designated may be terminated at any time with or without cause.

Job Description
What You Will Do
- Manage multiple construction projects ensuring compliance in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local Government codes, rules, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Manage project development, scheduling, and resources.
- Follow all County Policies and Procedures related to the project services being provided.
- Provide project status reports periodically to management and/or any project related meetings.

- Knowledgeable of and ability to comprehend public finance and budgeting procedures and methods.
- Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications
Required Skills
- Associate’s degree in architecture, building construction, or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the planning, design, and/or construction of public and/or private infrastructure/building/site development projects.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Desired
- Florida Building Administration & Inspectors Board Certification
- Public finance and budgeting experience.
- Federal, State, or Local Government related experience.
