Functional Analyst Associate

Our work depends on a Functional Analyst Associate joining our team to work closely with multiple New York State agencies through the analysis, processing and implementation of funds received from providers within the eMedNY program. As a Functional Analyst Associate supporting the Provider Services department, you will be trusted to support the eMedNY Financial Support unit regarding financial tracking, reporting and analysis.
HOW A FUNCTIONAL ANALYST ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Work closely with eMedNY Program Accounting and Quality Assurance departments
- Utilize Excel, MS Word, SQL queries, and Thin Client to track, report, and analyze financial processes
- Apply weekly State Agency Receivable Financial Transactions
- Prepare monthly manual check reissue requests to eMedNY Program Accounting
- Generate claim voids due to provider billing errors or third party reimbursements
- Monitor eMedNY Financial Support email inbox and respond to providers within a timely manner
- Process provider checks through full financial cycle
- Prepare claim resubmissions
- Maintains an excel database with detailed financial information
- Complete other weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: BA/BS or 2+ years of experience working with financial data (reconciliation and balancing of data)
- Required Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience using Word and PowerPoint
- Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to multi-task

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $19.23 – $28.85. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
