Senior Business Intelligence Engineer – Medicaid

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will be an integral part of our Medicaid Operations and Strategy team responsible for ensuring timely and accurate Medicaid provider data reporting to support internal external partners. The business needs of team continues to evolve and grow, changing the composition of the team as it expands to accommodate the increased responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: This associate’s primary responsibility will be working all aspects of Medicaid provider data reporting from, researching, enhancing, and consulting on very complex provider data files to driving provider reporting strategy ensuring Humana succeeds with Medicaid provider reporting. The associate will represent Humana’s provider data on calls with State Leaders, Humana Medicaid leaders, peers, and auditors.

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for:

Act as the DRI for Provider Files/Reporting with internal and external partners, State Agencies, etc.

Review State’s Report Deliverables/Expectations for ownership determination

Assess Report Companion Guides and Templates (data gaps, supplemental data, process gaps, etc..)

Collaborate with Markets, Operational areas, Process and Project Managers to accommodate new Medicaid provider reporting needs

Develop requirements for provider reports, both internal and external

Create and execute testing of file code formatting

Monitor and work State error reports

Determine root causes driving issues and developing solutions

Support cross-functional teams on their provider data needs

Develop or verify P&Ps

Maintain Medicaid provider reporting process documents

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of provider data knowledge and/or experience
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis
  • Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
  • Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction (Healthcare related data)
  • Prior experience in presenting verbal and written communication to senior+ leadership
  • Meet Work At Home requirements in additional information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Medicaid provider data and/or processes
  • Advanced in SQL, SAS and other data systems
  • Experience with tools such as Tableau and Qlik for creating data visualizations
  • Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
  • Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$78,800 – $108,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
