DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Drive analytics and develop independent analytical calculators to provide analytical support to financial planning workstreams. Improve forecasting processes feeding into exercises such as budgeting, CECL, risk appetite, and capital stress testing. Analyze forecasting frameworks like regression approaches to ensure they make business sense and satisfy statistical feasibility criteria. Identify innovation opportunities to enhance forecast effectiveness and efficiency. Develop an understanding of the drivers of balances, fees, and losses of the Card business using a combination of financial research and liaising with appropriate partners/business lines. Partner with senior management and cross-functional teams across the business on various Card specific and firm-wide initiatives. Partner with senior management on team-wide efforts to enhance driving efficiencies and improving forecasting processes. Keep abreast of macroeconomic, regulatory, and industry landscape and trends pertaining to business drivers and use to influence card analytics choices made to augment the forecasting process, increase forecasting accuracy, sense-check model results, and influence final outputs. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Engineering (Any), Finance, Mathematics, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Quantitative Analytics, Financial Analytics, Market Risk Management, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Python; SQL; Alteryx; Excel-VBA; Datawarehouse and data lakes; data manipulation and analysis, with domain knowledge of Finance and Risk; CCAR; Resolution Planning; Recovery Planning; CECL; Basel or other similar regulations/regulatory programs; building analytic tools using quantitative approaches and data science; Monte Carlo Simulations; Principal Component Analysis; Backtesting; sensitivity calculations; liasing directly with senior management.
Job Location: 450 West 33rd St., New York, NY 10001. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $210,000 – $285,000 per year.
