Sr. Product Manager, Quality, Amazon Renewed – Product, Quality & Operations

Amazon Renewed is Amazon’s global, rapidly growing, refurbished products brand. Our purpose (why) is to give a second life to once-loved products. Our vision (what) is to make discovering and buying non-new products just as easy and trusted as it is for new products, (how) by empowering consumers to easily discover, evaluate, and select more affordable and sustainable products. In essence, we aspire to transform how customers discover and buy refurbished products by combining the trust and convenience of buying new products with the savings and long-term environmental benefits of buying preloved.

The worldwide Renewed Global Product, Quality & Operations Team is seeking an experienced, motivated, data-driven Sr. Product Manager for Quality. This individual will lead our strategic pillar to “make Amazon the most trusted destination for buying and selling non-new products.” Quality is our #1 tenet for the Amazon Renewed program, and this is a highly visible role given its criticality to the growth and longevity of Renewed. This leader will own everything from proactive quality improvement efforts (launching test buy programs in other countries, developing an Upstream Quality Mechanism, partnering with other non-new Amazon programs to drive standardization in the industry with reputable boards, etc.) as well as reactive (ensuring we’re leveraging the right metrics and holding Sellers accountable, standardizing these metrics across other central teams, etc.). The Quality PM will work very closely with both internal partners (such as POE) and external partners (such as the providers who do our test buys).

The work will include identifying opportunities to improve quality, defining and designing solutions, getting leadership buy-in, prioritization of resources, delivering the project in partnership with central and other Renewed teams, and measuring impact.

More on What We’re Looking For: We are looking for someone who’s very comfortable in data, and enjoys finding insights within it that will lead to opportunities. This individual should excel at influencing without authority (given high partnership across central and other internal Renewed teams), has a strong backbone to uphold quality, and is confident and comfortable in front of leadership. This individual should demonstrate strengths in invent & simplify (to streamline Amazon’s quality products and processes), and is comfortable diving deep to understand operational processes and the supply chain that impacts quality.

More on Amazon Renewed: Amazon Renewed is the leading destination for high-quality refurbished and qualified pre-owned products across dozens of product categories in thirteen countries around the world. Products are sourced from qualified third-party Selling Partners, Retail Vendors and Amazon-manufactured devices. We earn customer trust by providing a clear and simple option to discover, compare and purchase renewed products. Customers will be delighted in the quality of products and the discounts they receive, and they will know they have a one-click process to return products for their full satisfaction using the Renewed Guarantee.
