Arcadis is seeking a part time Operations Consultant to work on a variety of O&M engagements in our Louisville KY location.

Role description:
Examples of the types of work that the position will support include working with Arcadis planning and design teams to optimize water and/or wastewater designs for our client’s O&M personnel, start-up and commissioning work; development of training documents; training of client O&M staff; staffing assessments; condition assessments, asset management evaluations, rate studies and support of rehabilitation and renewal planning for water and wastewater facilities.
Role accountabilities:
Work as an integral part of project teams during planning and design of plant expansions and upgrades to provide operations insight and team guidance. Conduct commissioning and startup planning and develop and lead training of client O&M staff. Develop O&M manuals, traditional and electronic.
- Conduct staffing assessments.
- Provide on-site presence to assist public utilities with facility and system compliance assessments, management training or oversight, strategy development, public relations and elected official communications.
- Conduct as-need process/operations troubleshooting work.
- Work with the national asset management team to plan and deliver asset management solutions.
- Work directly with clients to determine capital improvement needs by leveraging experience to provide real world practical knowledge of facility maintenance.
- Conduct field observations and conditions assessments.
- Work with client development professionals, account leaders and technical staff to strategize and position for new work opportunities.
- Identify and recruit additional operations experts to help build an existing team of part-time O&M professionals to support O&M assignments across the country.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in engineering or related field.
- Prior Public Utility leadership or management experience.
- 15+ years of municipal water and/or wastewater experience with water or wastewater operator certification.
- Understanding of water and/or wastewater process equipment, distribution or collection system assets.
- Asset management or RCM training and experience.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, for both internal communications and for those with the client and community.
- Experience involving inspections, surveys or data collection for water, sewer or similar infrastructure.
- Open to travel for client assignments as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced training including BA, BS or specialty training in related fields.
- Emergency response training or experience
- Energy management training

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $87.800 – $131,700.
