The Outlook Client Core team owns native cross-platform components, like client-side storage, sync engine and protocols, account management, and auth. Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience
- 4+years of experience designing, implementing, and shipping products.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience working on low level programming.
- Passion for helping build an inclusive high-performance team.
- Ability to generate clarity in ambiguous situations.
- Passion for and ability to quickly understand emerging technologies.
Software Engineering IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will
- design and implement enhancements to the platform, adding support for new features to the Outlook family of apps to deliver experiences customers will love.
- write well-factored, well-tested, well-instrumented code to ensure it functions well.
- use telemetry to discover bugs, customer pain points, and other opportunities for improvements in the platform.
- work closely with partners from Service to Outlook app engineers to customers themselves to deliver seamless experiences at scale.
